Your problems aren’t easy
You’ve got a difficult engineering problem that needs to be solved and you don’t know what to do about it. You’d like your contractor to offer a creative solution and not just a “band-aid” for what’s already there or a “take-off” of something they’ve done for someone else just because it’s easy or cheap. If technology is the answer, you want the kind that solves your problem and fits your business.
Lots of familiar faces
There’s a lot of contractors out there. Most are strong in software and firmware development, but weaker on systems design, sensor technology, and signal processing. They talk a lot about minimizing cost and risk with their tools and simulations, but getting them to understand the problem, your circumstances, and your expectations is difficult work that rarely ends well.
Getting what you really want
West Michigan Photonics is the new company out there that actually enjoys taking on tough applications because it is staffed by people who have been solving tough problems for decades. They have a proven record of designing solutions that result in profitable outcomes and market dominance. They will listen to you and they will design an elegant and reliable solution that wins.
West Michigan Photonics – An engineering services company that specializes in tough measurement and process control applications, especially those involving color, light, and instrumentation. For help designing a critical process or a breakthrough product, call WMP!
Who is West Michigan Photonics?
West Michigan Photonics is a group of friends and former co-workers who saw an opportunity to improve the quality of systems and solutions intended to generate, measure, or control color and light. As a group, we have broad experience in the technology of performing difficult measurements with state of the art electronic instrumentation and using that information, through software, to manage or improve a critical process. Collectively, the members of West Michigan Photonics have received more than 40 patents in our areas of expertise.
What’s different about West Michigan Photonics?
There are some distinct advantages to having “start to finish” design and manufacturing experience. We know who to talk to in the trade about the value of an idea, what the difference is between a kludge and a solution, where to look for prior art and cost reduction, and when to focus on an opportunity whose time has come. Use us when the situation calls for a design that must be unique or optimized for cost, performance, or value. We like to say that we’d rather trust sound design principles and comprehensive testing than app notes and simulations.
